The focus of this Advanced Training School is on applications in natural and anthropogenic environments: earthquakes, volcanoes, glaciers, landslides, reservoirs, cities, ...

The Training School will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, at Hotel Globus. Courses will start on Monday 2nd at 8:30 and will end on Friday 6th at 12:30. Participants are expected to arrive on July 1st, afternoon (ice-breaker in the evening) and leave on July 6th, afternoon.

Cost of attendance is 305 € (lodging, food, and all conference services).

Total participation is limited to 100, pending approval of applications. The selection will follow a first-come-first-serve basis, with attendance grants distributed so as to ensure widest participation across COST Action countries. Application deadline is April 22nd. Everyone has to apply in order to attend (even without a grant request). Trainees are requested to stay for the entire training school, from July 1st to July 6th.

TIDES can reimburse participation costs (including a travel grant) for a number of trainees from COST countries. (Reimbursement can only be done after the school!)

All accepted applicants will be notified by May 10th, and will then have to register (with a 150 € deposit payment) by May 31st.

We welcome contributions from all participants, on topics connected to the main theme of the school. Any accepted participant willing to present his/her work in the form of a poster or short talk will be asked to submit title and abstract of his/her contribution before May 31st, during the final registration phase.

Final registration

All accepted participants will have to register by paying 150 € of deposit or the full 305 € amount, to Globus Hotel, by May 31st (payment instructions will be given to accepted participants).

The balance will be payed directly to the hotel once 
arrived in Prague. 

The fee covers accomodation, meals, coffee breaks and use of conference facilities from July 1st to July 6th.

 

Important dates

April 22nd: deadline for sending applications.

May 10th: selected applicants will receive a notification of acceptance for their participation to the school and will be informed of their eventual Grant amount.

May 31st: deadline for the registration phase. Participants have to pay 150 € of deposit or the full 305 € amount to Globus Hotel. Besides, participants will also have to indicate their arrival/departure dates and to upload their contribution's title and abstract on this google form (not available yet).
